Lara brings with her knowledge and experience from having worked with individuals and families in a broad range of community service organisations. Since working as a psychologist Lara has had experience in a range of roles including the provision of organizational services such as workplace training, employee assistance program counselling, workplace mediation and critical incidence response. Lara then moved into private practice where she provided services to adolescents, adults and couples while simultaneously working as a psychologist at an organization specialising in family relationship counselling.
Lara's passion for mindfulness practice began 30yrs ago as a young adult. Her interest has intensified over the years as she began to integrate mindfulness approaches in her therapeutic work. The benefits of mindfulness practice that she has experienced both personally and professionally have inspired her to move into group work. She is currently undertaking training with the University of Massachusetts in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
